Scholarly Interests: Sarah Beth Woodruff holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership from the University of Dayton (Ohio). As Ohio's E & A Center Director, Dr. Woodruff provides leadership in research design, data analysis, instrument development, and all aspects of evaluation and research for large-scale, externally funded education programs and projects across the nation. Dr. Woodruff has a broad understanding of education, having served as a science teacher, high school principal, and state education official. Her primary research interests include gender and equity issues in science education, science teacher preparation and licensing policy, and teacher professional development related to inquiry teaching and learning. She has co-authored three chapters and presented papers at several annual meetings of professional organizations, including the American Educational Research Association, the National Association for Research in Science Teaching, and the American Evaluation Association. |
